Every craps player has a different reason for playing, generally spanning from ‘I want to make money’ to ‘I love the game’. In reality though, not many craps players strictly play for a gross profit. If you are like most craps players and expect to have a blast every time you sit down at a craps table there are some steps you can take to make sure you reach this goal. By perfecting your craps playing style you can make sure every move you make will lead to the best experience possible.
Before you can decide what craps strategies will yield you the most fun, you need to decide what you are looking for. What is fun for one player, is not fun for everyone. A great place to start is your tolerance for risk. If you are a very risk seeking player you want to throw in a decent amount of proposition bets. If you are more risk averse, your mainstays might consist of line bets and taking the odds. Players who fall somewhere in between these two extremes can likely pick and choose from all the different types of craps bets. The key for these moderate players is to simply pick a couple of your favorite bets (that you fully understand) and combine them.
Once you have decided on two or three bets that you like the most take some time to fully research them. Because these are your go-to bets, you cannot afford to have anything but a complete understanding of them. If you already know how these bets function you can proceed to building a game plan. You will probably want your go-to bets to make up at least 2/3 to 3/4 of your total game play. This keeps things easy for you to control, while allowing you to use the bets you are most comfortable with. The remaining 1/4 to 1/3 of your bets should be completely varied. This mix and match strategy is like the cherry on top, that should keep you on your toes at all times. You know, keep things exciting. The last thing you want is a betting style that makes you get sick of your favorite bets.
Once you have determined the style you like the most put it to good use. Before you can complete the final step of this program, you must start playing with your new strategy. And what is the final step? Revision. This last step is never really finished. As you play you will naturally be more interested in some bets than others; your entire outlook might even change. The last thing any craps strategy should do is lock you in or tie you down. By allowing your betting patterns to constantly evolve with your interests, you will never find yourself bored with the game you so much. There is no reason you cannot find the perfect craps strategy for you, and once you have got it, you can get even more out of the game of craps.
