Pot odds are one of the most important parts related to a Texas hold'em poker game, odds are important in any poker game. Pot odds are related to the relationship of the size of the tables pot which is then compared to the size of the bet you will have to call. A good example would be, if the pot is at $40 and you would only need to call $4. In this case the odds are 10 to 1. You can relate your pot to the odds that you will improve your hand to decide of you is going to call. If your odds of improving are lower than your pot odds then you would want to call the hand. You will want to remember when playing any form of hold'em poker that there can be two different players who will not understand the idea of pot odds.
